Hello brand new readers. I am Tim Atkin, the President and Editor-In-Chief of the Neon Eagle. I should start off by telling you about the name. I could say: well, we live in a different kind of America these days, an America that is not necessarily best represented by red, white, and blue. We live in a bright, flashy, and yes even sometimes a bit trashy society. I could also tell you that this site will in turn serve as a sort of neon sign, a beacon of sorts flashing in the dead night somewhere, guiding you towards a place of culture and solitude. I could tell you all that, but really, the name just came to me and I liked the sound of it. This site is an online culture magazine dedicated to giving you a cooler option for your media reviews. Here at the Neon Eagle, you will never get sophomoric, misguided, or pretentious reviews of your favorite films and music. Nor will you be getting frat boys with a lack of brain cells appealing to people who really enjoyed the latest gem from Adam Sandler. We will strive to always give you an earnest view of the media that is being put out there. I have assembled a group of contributing writers that I have known for awhile, and that I know to be very talented. I hope that you find our efforts worthwhile.
